Insure proper operation of assigned vehicle.
Operate county vehicle to drive to specific vendor locations and return in a timely manner with proper pre-determined parts.
Receive shipments from vendors, check for accuracy and quantities for invoices. Directly issue parts received to open work orders or place parts in proper inventory location.
Notify mechanic or shop superintendent when parts are available for use.
Stock shelves with parts and maintain inventory.
Pull/ fill orders and notify supervisor of out-of-stock inventory. Provides count of all inventory, cores and fluids.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of data ordered in computer and make sure part has been placed on ticket
Check parts from Tracs catalog for proper identification; contact vendors for part prices and available quantities for purchasing.
Operate other shop equipment such as: forklift, hand jacks, pallet jacks, computers, telephones, etc.
Responsible for maintaining excellent customer service skills and interactions with mechanics and vendors when providing counter or telephone services.
Work involves the regular, and at times, sustained, performance of physical tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, lifting, or carrying moderately heavy (20-50 pound) objects and occasionally very heavy objects with more than 50 pounds.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma (GED) and any combination of education and/or experience equaling three years of related work experience.

Any combination of education and experience equaling a high school diploma and three years of work experience.

Possession of a valid Mississippi driver’s license.
