Job Description

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving the global finance agenda and providing key decision support to our logistics management team. What You’ll Do:

 

As the VP Business Performance Management – Logistics Services, you will act as liaison between the finance group and the business segment head related to reporting, analysis, improvements, and accountability for the full Logistics services financial statements.  You will be comfortable having high-level conversations with senior leaders to understand the drivers of the various business operations and be a constructive business partner for segment management. You bring a strong financial background, experience from an international environment with a strategic business orientation and are a strong collaborator and excellent communicator. Primary responsibilities may include:

  • Lead Logistics services periodic reporting in conjunction with relevant segment parties, bridging management to statutory reporting.
  • Understand targets and business drivers to the P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet, including financial ratios.
  • Coordinate the forecasting process with relevant segment department heads and global finance teams.
  • Be an integral member of any M&A advisory team, providing strategic planning counsel and financial modeling work in support of the finance M&A team.
  • Support EVP/COO Logistics in setting business goals and OKRs for the Logistics Services team and developing strategies to meet those goals.
  • Facilitate investment review and cross-functional checkpoint meetings.
  • Oversee performance improvement programs and drive initiatives through the Logistics Services segment.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, international team.

Job Requirements

What You’ll Need: 

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, experience in an international environment, a strategic business orientation, and excellent collaboration and communication skills.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in international business.
  • Higher education, preferably a master’s degree within a relevant field.
  • Finance or accounting background, financial modeling experience.
  • Strong understanding of governance related to day-to-day business and portfolio of JVs and investments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective leadership, team building and networking capabilities.
  • Strong IT skills.

Even Better if You Have: 

  • Experience in shipping/logistics is a plus.
  • Analytical, structured, and solution oriented.
  • Ability to operate within complex stakeholder environments, across geographies and business cultures.
  • Proactive change agent with a strong drive and commitment to create results.
