About the Role
The Plant Logistics Supervisor plays a critical role in keeping our logistics operation running safely, efficiently, and aligned with our values.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting drivers, coordinating logistics operations, and ensuring strong communication between production, customer service, and transportation.
Success in this role is measured by on-time delivery, accurate data, safe operations, and engaged drivers.

- Conduct performance conversations including praise, coaching, and corrective action
Logistics Operations Execution
- Serve as the central point of coordination for driver activity and logistics flow
- Communicate effectively with drivers on route changes, delays, breakdowns, and add-ons
- Partner closely with Customer Service and Production to ensure alignment
- Take ownership of the driver station to ensure smooth daily operations
- Accurately receive, review, and manage driver paperwork
- Manage mileage allocations and driver hours (On-Time system)
- Support truck and trailer service coordination, including parts procurement
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
Driver Recruiting & Staffing
- Take ownership of driver hiring needs to ensure proper staffing levels at all times
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to source, interview, and select qualified drivers
- Participate in interviews and provide clear, timely hiring feedback
- Support onboarding of new drivers to ensure a strong start (4 C’s: Compliance, Clarification, Culture, Connection)
- Monitor driver turnover and take proactive steps to improve retention and engagement
- Build a pipeline of future driver talent to support business growth
Safety & Compliance
- Lead by example in all safety expectations and behaviors
- Act as a liaison between drivers and IPC Safety team
- Participate in Supervisor Safety Program:
- Truck/Driver inspections
- Weekly safety talks
- Injury documentation
- Ensure all trucks and drivers maintain current and compliant documentation
- Stay up to date on DOT regulations and requirements
Data Accuracy & Accountability
- Maintain accurate and timely logistics records and reporting
- Hold team accountable for proper documentation and system usage
- Ensure clear communication of process updates or changes
- Support a culture of detail, ownership, and follow-through
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or operations
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up
- Effective communicator (drivers, leadership, cross-functional teams)
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
