Job Description

Now Hiring: Business Office Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and dependable Business Office Manager to join our amazing team! This full-time role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our facility, with a focus on Accounts Receivable management and resident financial coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all payer setup and changes for new and existing residents

  • Coordinate with Admissions and families to ensure timely Medicaid applications

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files for all residents

  • Submit RFMS authorizations and open accounts for Medicaid or Medicaid-pending residents

  • Apply for representative payee status with Social Security or process address changes as needed

  • Ensure complete and accurate responsible party contact info in PointClickCare

  • Prepare and scan all deposits

  • Notify Corporate Office of any Medicaid-related updates (admissions, discharges, income/payer changes)

  • Conduct monthly Medicare and Medicaid eligibility verifications for all residents

  • Perform weekly collection calls for private pay, resident liability, and other outstanding balances

  • Document collection activity thoroughly in the EMR under the Collections tab

  • Complete Medicaid redeterminations and manage re-authorizations for Managed Medicaid

  • Maintain an up-to-date Medicaid Pending Report

  • Attend Medicare meetings and review coverage and days using eligibility reports


Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in business office operations (skilled nursing or healthcare preferred)

  • Strong understanding of Medicaid/Medicare processes

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Familiarity with PointClickCare or similar EMR systems is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
