Job Summary: Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled (AEDD) is seeking a dependable and compassionate Work Instructor to support adults with developmental disabilities in a structured work and training environment. This role focuses on helping individuals build vocational, social, and daily living skills while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity in assigned work activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support participants in on-site work and training activities
- Ensure a safe environment and monitor participant well-being at all times
- Assist individuals in meeting production goals while maintaining quality standards
- Provide group and individual instruction in vocational and life skills
- Track and document daily progress, goals, and production outcomes
- Maintain accurate records, including work sheets, billing, and transportation logs
- Assist with time studies and work setup for subcontracted tasks
- Support implementation of individual program plans (IPP) and goals
- Supervise participants during breaks and lunch periods
- Transport participants to and from the facility as needed
- Assist with basic vehicle upkeep and documentation
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience in human services or working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Valid Arkansas Driver's License
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening (safety-sensitive position)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist individuals as needed in a work/training environment
- Comfortable working in a moderately active environment and traveling locally
