Job Description
 

The Mechanic provides the Company with troubleshooting and preventative/corrective maintenance expertise with regard to the vehicle fleet and assigned equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.        
  • Updates and maintains the Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP) schedules and manuals timely and accurately.                    
  • Documents work performed in a thorough, accurate and timely manner in the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) computer system.                    
  • Performs all maintenance tasks in coordination with production activities and schedules.    
  • Ensures all tasks are performed with appropriate safety measures and consistent with generally accepted maintenance shop practices.                    
  • Performs observation, diagnosis, maintenance and repair on mechanical, minor electrical and hydraulic systems on light and heavy-duty motorized vehicles and equipment.            
  • Performs all other duties as apparent or as assigned.

   Qualifications and Education:     

  • High School or General Education Diploma Required; further education preferred.
  • 1+ years of vehicle maintenance required.                    
  • 1-3 years of mechanical/electrical preferred.                    
  • Prior work within fast-paced vehicle maintenance shop is a plus.
  • Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and Preventative Maintenance is a plus.    
  • Trade or Vocational Certification preferred.                    
  • ASC Certification is a plus.        
  • Must have own tools.
