Job Description

The Technical Marketing Manager (TMM) for PCG Plastics & Composites plays a vital role in spearheading new business growth within the plastics & composites market segments. This dynamic position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of industry trends and market dynamics, capable of identifying new market opportunities and leading cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that address unmet customer needs.


Key Accountabilities:



  • Responsible technical / application developments of the functional additives, especially dispersant, defoamer, wetting agents, etc. for Plastics & Composites.

  • Develop solid product application roadmap with global R&D team and regional commercial teams.

  • Analyze comprehensive related application technical needs to identify product opportunities and build a prioritized project pipeline for Plastics & Composites.

  • Work closely with MDM, sales team as application expert to ensure successful delivery of new product development projects, fostering cross-departmental collaboration and timely execution.

  • Partner with regional marketing managers to conduct thorough new product cost analysis and develop product strategies.

  • Train and support sales teams by sharing new market knowledge and product insights, enhancing their Plastics & Composites knowleges to drive sales growth.

  • Work hand-in-hand with the sales team to facilitate the scale-up of new product sales, ensuring smooth market entry and expansion.

  • Assist global marketing teams by collecting and analyzing regional product information to inform broader product marketing strategies.


Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in technical roles, technical marketing roles, preferably within the Plastics & Composites.

  • Demonstrated success in identifying, developing, and executing new application needs with measurable impact.


Skills and Competencies:



  • Strong technical background is preferred for related products and applications.

  • Strong critical thinking abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, including identifying potential solutions and evaluating their implications.

  • Exceptional influencing, persuasion, and negotiation skills aimed at achieving win-win outcomes.

  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive amidst uncertainty and dynamic market conditions inherent to new product development.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences and articulating technical concepts clearly.

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication and reporting.

  • Willingness to travel frequently (more than 50%) to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams across the region.
