Job Description

Make an impact when it matters most.

We are seeking a skilled, confident clinician to join our Access & Crisis team. This role is designed for someone who thrives in high-acuity situations, can pivot quickly, and is passionate about providing timely, compassionate care to individuals and families experiencing urgent psychiatric or personal crises.

As an Access & Crisis Float Clinician, you will play a critical role in ensuring individuals—especially school-age children—receive immediate, clinically sound support through crisis response, evaluation, and short-term stabilization services.

What You’ll Do

Crisis Response & Clinical Care

  • Conduct same-day mental health evaluations.

  • Provide crisis assessments and intervention services via phone, in-office, and mobile response.

  • Prioritize and respond to school-based and school-age referrals within the community.

  • Provide short-term, solution-focused therapy when clinically indicated.

  • Oversee and support mobile crisis/co-responding services as needed.

  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to Behavioral Urgent Care (BUC) services.

Care Coordination & Collaboration

  • Coordinate care with mobile crisis responders, patient navigators, outpatient providers, and community agencies.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure continuity of care.

  • Provide community education and outreach as assigned.

  • Support streamlined, non-duplicative admissions processes that prioritize exceptional customer service.

Clinical Leadership & Compliance

  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.

  • Complete required screenings (including PASRR and Mental Health Reform) within established timelines.

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the CCBHC model and provide care aligned with this framework.

  • Contribute insight and experience to ongoing departmental and strategic planning efforts.
