Mathematics Teacher (Begins Late August 2026)

Job Summary:

Francis W. Parker School is a renowned JK-12th grade independent day school. Founded in 1901 on the tenets of progressive education, the school currently enrolls 940 students and employs over 200 dedicated faculty and staff members who, in addition to assistant teachers, substitute teachers and coaches, work together to ensure that the school lives up to its mission to �educate students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a diverse, democratic society and global community.�

We are currently seeking a dynamic, creative, and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our expert faculty. Responsibilities include teaching four sections of Upper School mathematics, leading an advisory, participating in our Civic Lab program, and chaperoning trips. Opportunities to coach and sponsor student extracurricular activities are also available.


Required Qualifications:

  • Master�s degree or above in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related discipline
  • Facility and comfort in teaching a broad range of Mathematics (basic Algebra through Calculus)
  • Significant classroom teaching experience with high school students of varying mathematical ability
  • Demonstrated record of developing one�s own cultural competency and incorporating diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in personal practice and curriculum
  • Affinity and enthusiasm for working with adolescents both in and out of class
  • Enthusiastic desire and commitment to learn and improve professionally
  • Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and emotional maturity
  • Experience developing positive working relationships with both students and colleagues
  • Comfort and experience with using technology in the classroom
  • Interest in extra-curricular involvement with students
  • Demonstrated commitment to community work and social justice projects

Compensation:

Salary Range: Approximately $70,022 - $133,748

Faculty positions are paid on a step-level salary scale, commensurate with background and years of experience. Francis W.
