SENIOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN
Job Summary: The Senior Information Technology Technician is responsible for
maintaining, securing, and optimizing MATC’s technology infrastructure. This role ensures
the reliability of network, server, and cloud-based systems while supporting end users
through training, troubleshooting, and access management. The Senior IT Technician plays
a critical role in safeguarding data, implementing security protocols, and driving
operational efficiency across all IT systems.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Industry-recognized certificate (i.e. CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc) required or
must be able to obtain
• Career and Technology Education Certificate in Information Technology, Computer
Networking, or related field preferred
• Three years of technical or industry experience preferred
• Experience in maintaining websites preferred
• Experience with CIS Controls & PCI Controls, Physical Access Control systems, and
Surveillance systems preferred
• Experience with Microsoft 365 & Azure preferred
• Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining VOIP, Clock, and Paging systems
preferred
• Experience with virtualization preferred
Terms of Employment:
• 12-month, non-exempt employee
Key Duties and Responsibilities: including other duties as assigned
• Maintain and support IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud systems,
and communication platforms

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to networking devices, system
performance, and connectivity
• Perform regular system backups, updates, patching, and upgrades to ensure
optimal performance and security
• Manage and maintain security systems, including firewalls, anti-malware,
vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Oversee and support physical security technologies such as access control
systems and surveillance systems
• Administer user accounts, including provisioning, modification, and deactivation for
system, application, and physical access
• Support and maintain enterprise platforms including learning management
systems, SharePoint, websites, and A/V systems
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles for
common issues and processes
• Provide training and technical support to end users to enhance system utilization
and reduce service disruptions
• Implement and enforce IT security procedures, standards, and best practices to
ensure data protection and compliance

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capacity to translate technical concepts, issues, and solutions into clear, user-

• Strong project management skills including the ability to plan, prioritize, and
execute technology-related initiatives
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment
• Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting and maintaining multiple device platforms
including Windows, Apple, and Chromebook systems
• Working knowledge of networking infrastructure and cloud-based environments
including troubleshooting and maintenance
• Experience supporting and maintaining audio/visual systems in instructional or
business settings
