The Engineering Technician performs technical and hands on support to assist the Engineering function. Provides solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures.
- Perform qualification testing for new product development and acceptance testing.
- Work alongside engineers to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.
- Assist the Production teams and troubleshoot the production process.
- Evaluate product discrepancies for functional impact and participate in Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
- Contribute to department safety, delivery, and quality metrics
- Assist with tasks to accomplish engineering business improvement objectives
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Field of Study/Area of Experience (if more than 5 years experience required, provide overview in the experience comments to support objective justification):
0-2 years of experience is preferred
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or manufacturing environment. Typically, requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds occasionally.
