POSITION SUMMARY

The Alarm Division Manager at Ironsmith Fire must be dynamic, technically savvy, and forward-thinking. This role will be critical in launching and leading the company's new fire alarm division, building it from the ground up to support long-term growth in life safety solutions. The Alarm Division Manager will handle all aspects of division setup, operations, sales, and team development initially, while collaborating with senior leadership to ensure alignment with company goals. This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

OBJECTIVES

•    Establish the fire alarm division from scratch, including setting up vendor accounts, creating operational processes, and implementing systems for sales, dispatching, and service delivery.

•    Build and lead a high-performing team, recruiting, training, and delegating responsibilities as the division grows.

•    Serve as the operational expert for fire alarm systems, overseeing installations, inspections, maintenance, and compliance with industry standards.

•    Drive sales and business development efforts to acquire new clients and expand the division's footprint in the southeast region.

•    Develop and execute strategies for efficient division operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and customer service protocols.

•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, and Finance, to optimize performance and identify growth opportunities.

•    Analyze division performance data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.

•    Ensure all division activities are aligned with the company's values: Effective Communication, Professionalism, Discipline, Trustworthiness, and a Results-driven approach.

•    Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track division efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

•    Prepare reports and presentations on division progress and forecasts for the COO and senior leadership team.

•    Maintain compliance with fire codes, safety regulations, internal controls, and company policies.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

•    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Fire Protection, or related field (preferred).

•    5+ years experience in fire alarm systems, division management, or operations leadership, preferably in the fire protection, construction, or related industry.

•    Experience building and scaling teams or divisions from inception, including vendor setup and process creation.

•    Strong understanding of fire alarm technologies, codes (e.g., NFPA standards), sales strategies, and operational tools.

•    Proficiency in relevant software solutions, such as CRM systems, dispatching tools, and Microsoft Office suite.

•    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
