Position Summary: As a Waterproofing Superintendent, you will oversee and manage all aspects of waterproofing projects, leveraging your expertise in joint sealants, sheet waterproofing, fluid waterproofing, expansion joints, fire caulking, and fluid weather barriers. This role is designed for an experienced professional in the construction waterproofing field who is ready to take on a higher level of responsibility, leading multiple teams and large-scale projects to deliver high-quality waterproofing solutions.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead and supervise multiple waterproofing projects, ensuring the successful execution of joint sealants, sheet waterproofing, fluid waterproofing, expansion joints, fire caulking, and fluid weather barriers.
- Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with senior management, clients, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional results.
- Team Leadership: Provide expert guidance, training, and mentorship to foremen and waterproofing teams, fostering professional growth and development in the construction waterproofing field.
- Project Management: Monitor project progress, track materials, and maintain comprehensive documentation for seamless project execution.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure the quality and effectiveness of waterproofing applications in all projects.
- Problem Solving: Work closely with project managers to address challenges, implement solutions, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Safety Management: Maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness among all teams.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in waterproofing practices and contribute to the continuous enhancement of our methodologies.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in all aspects of waterproofing within the construction industry, including joint sealants, sheet waterproofing, fluid waterproofing, expansion joints, fire caulking, and fluid weather barriers.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and leading multiple teams.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with diverse stakeholders and maintain clear project communication.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality work and meeting project specifications.
- Strong ability to interpret technical documentation and construction plans.
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and safety regulations in construction waterproofing.
- Proficiency in using waterproofing tools and equipment.
- Physical stamina to work in demanding construction environments and handle physical tasks associated with waterproofing.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for project sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or specialized training in waterproofing or related disciplines.
- Previous experience in managing large-scale construction waterproofing projects.
- Familiarity with a wide range of waterproofing products and technologies.
- Proficiency in various surface preparation techniques specific to waterproofing.
- Experience across diverse construction segments such as residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
