Job Overview

Miller & Sons Golf Cars is hiring a hands-on Service Manager / Shop Manager to lead our golf cart and utility vehicle service department.

This is a player‑coach leadership role—you’ll manage technicians, oversee daily shop operations, and step in to assist with repairs when workload is high.

Ideal for experienced Service Managers, Lead Technicians, Shop Foremen, or Service Writers who enjoy both leadership and hands-on work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 4–7 mechanics
• Serve as a hands-on leader, assisting with repairs during peak demand
• Assign and manage work orders to balance workload and productivity
• Oversee daily shop flow, scheduling, and turnaround times
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve service concerns
• Ensure accurate work order documentation using the 3C methodology (Complaint, Cause, Correction)
• Review completed work, monitor progress, and close out invoices
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve processes, workflows, and efficiency
• Train and onboard new technicians
• Coordinate with parts, sales, and management teams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Potential to include parts procurement and management over time

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Manager, Shop Manager, Technician, or Shop Foreman
• Strong mechanical knowledge (automotive, small engine, golf cart, or equipment service preferred)
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong computer skills for work orders, scheduling, and invoicing
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop environment
• Customer-focused with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Compensation & Benefits

• $25–$32/hour DOE, with opportunity for salary-based role
