This role is responsible for
The Area Sales Manager East is responsible for all sales activities within a given territory. The role encompasses the autonomous development and management of the territory through the acquisition and contracting of new retail partners at franchise partner level; the retention of existing customers; and the coaching and development of retail staff at a store level, in order to maximise their sales performance.
This is a field-sales role and you will need to be prepared to travel on a daily basis within your territory with some overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow the business of the sales area.
- Actively scout your area for new potential franchise and retail businesses (shops) and develop a sales pipeline.
- Extend contracts 1:1 at franchiser level
- Coaching the designated EW owner and team manager („Train the Trainer“)Motivation and training of sales agents at POS to increase pitch rate, conversion rates and sales
- Sustainable expansion of partner relations (franchise owner, market manager, sales manager, sales agents etc.) in personal contacts to focus on our products
- Commercial objective settings with franchise owners and shop managers based on shop potentials and regular presentations/discussions of results.
- Prepare annual business plan for franchise partner and agree with KAM
- Monitoring the sales results and in case of deviations development of action and sales promotion measures together with the KAM, franchise partners and shop managers.
- Planning and implementation of regional, franchise level and individual incentives / competitions based on objectives and achievements
- Ensuring compliant sales processes as well as monitoring and implementation of the internal risk and compliance requirements of the company as well as the supervisory authorities to the partner
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven background in a sales role, ideally within a retail or financial services environment
- Hunter mentality, enjoys new customer acquisition.
- Strong relationship and communication skills
- Strong negotiating, conflict management & influencing skills
- Excellent training and coaching skills to drive sales within existing partner stores.
- Self-motivated and target driven
- Self-organized and well structured
- Customer- and service-oriented
- Willingness to travel & driver’s license B (former Cl. 3)
- Native/ business proficient German speaker & good verbal and written English language skills
