Make an impact to our client focused teams as an Accounting Support Specialist. This diverse team of specialists work as trusted advisors to support and utilize MNP’s accounting technologies that enable primarily French speaking team members to work efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical and escalation support for assigned applications, including working papers, tax software, cloud solutions, enterprise platforms, or internally developed tools
- Assess incoming requests, determine root cause, and resolve or escalate issues promptly to development teams, product owners, or third‑party vendors as required
- Build strong working relationships with various stakeholders and team members through professionalism, responsiveness, and clearly communicated solutions
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and workarounds in the knowledge base
- Assist in preparing release notes, training materials, and user‑focused documentation
- Develop a strong understanding of application functionality from the user’s perspective to improve business processes
- Identify recurring issues and collaborate with the development or product teams to improve system stability and usability
- Contribute ideas to enhance operational workflows, user experience, or support processes
- Engage with leaders, subject matter experts, developers, and external vendors to resolve prioritized issues
- Escalate complex or unclear issues with thorough documentation and clarity
Skills and Experience
- Post‑secondary education in accounting, technology, business systems, IT, or at least 2 years of equivalent professional experience
- Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams/clients across Canada and some client deliverables/regulatory reporting obligation are in English
- Experience with business applications such as working paper systems, tax applications, CRM/ERP platforms, or enterprise productivity tools
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into language understandable by non‑technical users
- Demonstrated customer‑service mindset and ability to build professional relationships
- Collaborative approach with a willingness to learn and cross‑train
- Experience with the following is considered an asset:
- Accounting or assurance workflows
- Tax preparation software
- ITSM platforms and structured support processes
