Job Description

The Role

The Sales Counselor is responsible for supporting the sales and marketing efforts of Enso Village by engaging prospective residents and their families, providing exceptional customer service, conducting tours, and guiding prospects through all stages of the sales process. This role plays a key part in maintaining occupancy targets, nurturing leads, and ensuring a seamless move-in experience consistent with Enso Village’s mission, vision, and values.

The Sales Counselor works closely with the Sales Director, Sales Coordinator, and cross-departmental teams to ensure prospective residents receive accurate information, timely follow-up, and a welcoming, high-quality experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prospect Engagement & Lead Management

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and families; respond promptly and professionally to inquiries (phone, email, website, walk-ins).
  • Conduct community tours, presentations, and informational sessions that reflect Enso Village’s philosophy, culture, and service offerings.
  • Build rapport with prospects and families through discovery, needs assessment, and personalized communication.
  • Maintain active and up-to-date information in the lead management system, document all interactions, follow-ups, and next steps.
  • Support the Sales Director in nurturing leads, managing waitlists, and executing the full sales cycle from inquiry to deposit to move-in.
  • Follow established sales processes and standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.

Follow-Up, Conversions & Move-In Support

  • Complete timely follow-up with all assigned leads, tours, and referrals to advance prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Assist prospects and their families with understanding community pricing, care levels, available accommodations, and general RCFE requirements.
  • Support the move-in process by coordinating with Wellness, Facilities, Dining, and other departments to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Assist with obtaining required documentation for move-ins.
  • Help resolve questions, concerns, or barriers to move-in in collaboration with the Sales Director and Sales/Move-In Coordinator.

Marketing & Outreach Support

  • Participate in sales events, open houses, presentations, and community outreach activities as assigned by the Sales Director.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of marketing materials, packets, and promotional items.
  • Engage with referral sources, community partners, and visitors to promote Enso Village and maintain a positive external presence.

Collaboration & Cross-Department Support

  • Work closely with the Sales Director to ensure alignment in messaging, processes, and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate with department leaders (Dining, Wellness, Life Enrichment, Assisted Living/Memory Care, Facilities, etc.) to schedule tours, create impactful visit experiences, and support move-in logistics.
  • Communicate prospect needs and expectations to relevant teams to support a positive first impression and resident experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Reporting, Data Integrity & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely data within the CRM/lead management system.
  • Track key activity metrics such as calls, tours, follow-ups, and conversions.
  • Assist the Sales Manager with generating reports and identifying trends or opportunities.
  • Follow all regulatory requirements, including Title 22, DSS, Fair Housing, HIPAA, RCFE admission standards, and community policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident, prospect, family, and staff information at all times.

Qualifications and Position Requirements

  • Prior experience in senior living sales, hospitality, customer service, or related field preferred; RCFE experience highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to provide professional, compassionate, and responsive support to prospective residents and families.
  • Proficiency in CRM/lead management systems, Microsoft Office, and general office technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be available to work rotating weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop and kneel. 
  • Sufficient visual acuity to read documents, enter data, review reports, and navigate digital content.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits:

Enso Village is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000 with additional commission earnings potential based on sales results. Compensation is based on experience, education, skills, and business considerations.
