Job Title: Account Executive, Heavy Haul

 

Reports To: VP of Sales & Operations – Action Heavy Haul, LLC

Your Purpose: We're seeking an exceptional Account Executive to join our dynamic logistics brokerage team. As a key player in our organization, you will support developing our Construction segment. Additionally, you will drive growth by closing high-value accounts and leveraging our modern technology stack and effectively communicating and executing our value proposition.

 

Role Overview: As an Account Executive, you'll be at the forefront of sales strategy, working closely with a growing team of Account Managers to nurture and expand our client portfolio. You will have expertise in Enterprise-level sales, combined with your deep understanding of the logistics industry, particularly in heavy haul, will be instrumental in propelling our company to new heights.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow our Construction segment through you prior experience, taking ownership of the prospect process, pipeline ownership, and ultimate successful close of new business.
  • Drive our growth and success through exceptional leadership skills, creative problem solving and solutions development in all aspects of our sales-driven organization.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to secure Enterprise-level accounts in the logistics sector.
  • Utilize HubSpot CRM to its full potential, managing leads, creating and updating active opportunities, and analyzing sales data.
  • Leverage our advanced technology stack, including AI-powered tools, to optimize sales processes and deliver unparalleled value to clients.
  • Implement innovative closing techniques to meet and exceed sales quotas consistently.
  • Work closely with senior-level decision makers to ensure our organizations are aligned and continuously driving value.
  • Create and lead regular business reviews with key customers.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of managing and closing construction-based organizations and the heavy machinery market
  • Experience in heavy haul logistics (preferred)
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and development skills
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and enthusiasm for adopting new technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year in freight brokerage or dispatch; knowledge of heavy haul equipment is a plus.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication abilities (written & verbal).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Revenova (TMS) and Salesforce (CRM) is ideal.
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments with competing priorities.

Posted pay range is base with bonus. Base pay is DOE.

Your Role: Carrier Sales Representative

As the vital link between carriers, drivers, and account management, you’ll ensure smooth operations for our customers’ shipments. From sourcing reliable carriers to ensuring on-time delivery and providing real-time updates, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining our high service standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain a database of qualified carriers to efficiently meet customer needs.
  • Develop strong partnerships with carrier partners through regular communication and performance reviews.
  • Source reliable carriers via load boards, emails, and outbound calls while vetting their suitability for each shipment.
  • Act as the liaison between drivers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage load statuses in our Transportation Management System (TMS) from dispatch to delivery.
  • Provide timely updates on shipment progress to customers and internal teams.
  • Address escalations related to carrier issues and ensure resolution.
