Position Title:     Extra Duty FACILITATOR OF SERVICE PERSONNEL STAFF DEVELOPMENT


Department:       Human Resources


Reports To:         Director of Service Personnel and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources


Supplement:       $1500.00 per year divided by the number pay periods  


Date:                   July 1, 2026


 


 


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:


Extra Duty


 


SUMMARY:


Work with various department/county administrators and Professional Staff Development Coordinator to establish staff development programs for the school year.  


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES





    • Work with Director of Service Personnel to set up elections of council members.

    • Administer all Service Personnel staff development sessions.

    • Assist with securing locations for sessions and seeing that all equipment needed is at the location.

    • Arrange with speaker hotel and transportation accommodations, if needed.

    • Arrange transportation and/or show speaker where session is located.

    • Arrange for all sessions going on at one time to be covered (ie. speaker introduced, verification forms at the session, someone to give out and take up the forms and return forms to the Facilitator).

    • Introduce the speaker before the session and/or arrange for someone to introduce speaker.

    • Assist with the evaluation of staff development program every 3 years.

    • Maintain financial records related to expenses of service staff development council.

    • Have Staff Development Handbook/Calendar typed, printed and out to all locations in mid August.

    • Set up service personnel staff development sessions and offerings with the online platform for registration and tracking.

    • Enter group and county wide training data in online professional development tracking software.

    • Send out memos regarding sessions and sign up employees for sessions.

    • Record keeping of all hours.

    • Meeting and working with various departmental/school administration and Professional Staff Development Coordinator.

    • Facilitator will attend staff development council Meetings and take minutes.

    • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.


 


 


 


LANGUAGE SKILLS:


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


 


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:


Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.


 


REASONING ABILITY:


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


 


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:


Ability to operate a personal computer and related software. Ability to get along with other people. Patience in dealing with staff. Ability to develop effective working relationships with all staff. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
