Job Title:

Tooling Technician       

 

Position Summary:

  The Tool Room Technician will perform mechanical tasks on injection molds and components. Including but not limited to: dis-assembly/assembly, mold cleaning, polishing, cavitation recovery and mold component measurement, in press changeovers, and performing preventative maintenance on the tool base.

Bonus Terms:

  • $1500 sign on bonus
  • Must be employed at the time of payout
  • Payouts will occur in installments, 30 days, 90 days and 180 days

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Dis-assembly of injection molds in a effective manner.
  • Crane operation for moving and performing maintenance in-press.
  • Inspection of injection molding components.
  • Measurement of critical dimensions to .0001”
  • Participate in the recovery of lost cavitation in production.
  • Delivery of injection molds to various locations throughout the production facilities.

                                                                

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with special training in the tooling area.
  • Have Manufacturing knowledge in the molding industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude. Basic math skills.
  • Be familiar with various precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, depth and height gages. 

Safety Expectations:

  • Safety is always the number one priority.  All actions taken will be conducted in the safest manner possible and without risking injury to yourself or others. 
  • Follow all Safe Practices and safety policies and procedures.
  • Report all accident, incidents, safety violations, near misses or unsafe conditions to your Supervisory IMMEDIATELY.  If any bodily fluid (bloodborne pathogens) are present, it must be properly cleaned by a trained employee.

Quality Expectations:

  • Our product is our livelihood.  We must ensure that our product is of the highest quality.  Every employee plays a part in quality
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices while in production areas
  • Adhere to all GFSI standards policies and procedures in regards to product Safety, Quality and Legality
