Evaluation Period: Annual performance evaluations if the student works the entire academic year. If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester.



 





 



Purpose: The purpose of the student worker position is to provide essential support to the Health Sciences Department by assisting with various administrative and operational tasks.  





Position dates: This position begins in S426 or S127 and may continue, subject to satisfactory performance of your duties, the availability of work, and the availability of departmental funds.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Assist with administrative duties, including but not limited to typing, filing, copying, scanning, and indexing documents, entering data into spreadsheets, and projects as assigned.




  • Maintaining the Health Sciences Function Room and Kitchen area by keeping the place clean and neat at all times.




  • Monitoring office supplies by restocking items and making notes of inventory shortages when needed.




  • Sorting mail.




  • Assist with small design projects, such as event materials.




  • Assist with event coordination, including preparing design projects and event materials, and handling event set-ups before, during, and after events.




  • This position requires communication and coordination with the health sciences coordinator, multiple staff and faculty members, and the Dean.
