Description
The Director of Elementary is responsible for providing direction and leadership for the overall coordination of Kindezi’s elementary instructional programming, curriculum implementation, and academic support systems across grades K–5. They ensure the effective implementation of high standards within classroom instruction and school systems that support student achievement. The Director of Elementary develops and monitors instructional strategy across elementary campuses and provides leadership and support for network-wide initiatives that strengthen teaching and learning.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructional Leadership
Provide direction and leadership in the implementation of a comprehensive elementary instructional program for all schools including but not limited to:
K–5 curriculum implementation
Instructional frameworks and classroom practices
Academic standards alignment
Instructional observation and feedback systems
Drive consistent implementation of K–5 curriculum across campuses
Conduct classroom observations to monitor instructional quality and ensure strong teaching practices
Support principals and instructional leaders in strengthening elementary instructional systems
Monitor academic performance trends across grades K–5 and identify areas for improvement
Professional Development & Coaching
Implement the organization’s professional development focus to build and facilitate instructional professional development across elementary schools
Direct and support school-based leaders and instructional teams to execute the following:
Instructional planning clinics
MTSS implementation for elementary academics
Classroom culture and instructional practice alignment
Data-driven instructional improvement
Collaborate with the Academic Team to plan and execute professional development and network learning opportunities
Partner with school-based leadership teams to determine and support academic performance goals
Research and provide guidance regarding effective and innovative elementary instructional practices through activities including but not limited to:
Professional Learning Communities
Coaching sessions
Teachback clinics
Model lessons
Curriculum Oversight
Ensure fidelity to the adopted curriculum across all elementary campuses
Partner with academic leaders and school administrators to refine instructional materials and systems
Analyze curriculum implementation and student performance to ensure alignment with academic standards
Identify areas of need and coordinate targeted supports to strengthen instruction and student outcomes
Project Management
Coordinate with administrative teams at each campus to support instructional implementation, academic systems, and improvement initiatives
Lend network expertise to support large, cross-functional organization-wide projects through clear communication and strategic planning
Create systems and processes that streamline instructional alignment across elementary schools
Document academic outcomes and program impact through written reports and data analysis
Cross-Campus Alignment
Ensure consistent instructional systems and practices across elementary grades and campuses
Collaborate with network leaders to align elementary strategy with broader organizational priorities
Support schools in maintaining high expectations for instruction and student achievement
Bring together multiple stakeholders to drive decisions rooted in efficiency, productivity, and the mission of the network

Spearhead network-wide elementary initiatives that support students, teachers, and school communities
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Be a United States citizen or otherwise have authorization to work in the United States
Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred
Have the ability to pass an Atlanta Public Schools background check and obtain a GaPSC-issued clearance certificate
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certificate
Georgia certification in Educational Leadership preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Leadership experience in elementary education
Experience in district-level leadership preferred
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
Starting salary: $90,000
Compensation aligned with The Kindezi Schools’ Director salary schedule
