The Administrative Intern supports operational, administrative, and strategic initiatives across the health system while gaining exposure to healthcare leadership, hospital operations, and project management. This internship provides students with practical experience in a professional healthcare environment and opportunities to develop analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
The intern will assist department leaders with projects, data collection, process improvement activities, meeting coordination, and administrative support functions. Assignments may vary based on organizational needs and the intern’s area of interest.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program with one of the following majors: Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Finance, Organizational Leadership or a related program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited master’s degree program with one of the following majors: Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Finance, Organizational Leadership or a related program
- Previous leadership, volunteer, or internship experience
Skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
