Each day, as a 31a Paraprofessional at Pennfield Schools, you bring energy, focus, and the
deep commitment to making a meaningful impact on our students. You start the day
welcoming students to school and supporting identified students with planning for a
successful day. Your day continues by assisting with classroom instruction, behavior
management, and individualized support for students, particularly those with academic,
behavioral, or physical needs. This role plays a vital part in fostering a positive, inclusive,
and effective learning environment. You spend part of the day checking in with students
on your caseload, delivering high quality interventions to individual students or small
groups of students, and pushing into classrooms to support student learning under the
direction of the classroom teacher. As the day winds down, you may be reviewing
student progress data and goals, checking out with students, and reflecting on the
moments—big and small—that made a difference. Every day brings new opportunities to
serve with excellence, champion student success, and be part of the Panther pride that
defines Pennfield Schools.
● Support students and teacher in quality learning activities and other
school related experiences.
● Collaborate with teacher to support and manage student learning in
various settings.
● Prepare and use adapted materials to support successful learning.
● Work and plan with the teacher. Attend team meetings and other
meetings as appropriate and requested.
● Maintain regular consistent attendance and punctuality.
● Deliver high quality interventions to students in need of support.
● Understand diversity of learning styles and the need for differentiated
learning.
● Maintain a professional personal appearance.
● Attend training and in-service as recommended by building
administration.
● Maintain confidentiality.
● Adhere to Board Policies.
● Other duties as assigned.

● Meet ESSA highly qualified requirement of 60 college credit hours
or be willing to take and receive a passing score on the ETS para
test for reading, writing, and math before being employed.
