CNC Oilfield Services is a leading oil and gas service company, providing reliable transportation solutions to the industry. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. If you have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a professional attitude, we want to hear from you!

 

Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
  • Inspecting vehicle lighting systems
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
  • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks
  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
  • Maintaining a parts inventory
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop, work area and equipment
  • MUST be willing to work a callout schedule

Requirements

Diesel Mechanic Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering
  • ASE Diesel Certification advantageous
  • Valid Chauffeur’s driver's license, CDL preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Air Brakes Certification
  • Air Conditioning Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
  • Knowledge of electrical system
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
  • Must have own tools
  • Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Effectively communicates with co-workers in a positive manner
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Good organization skills
