Salary Range: $125,000 – $135,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Infection Control Preventionist (RN) to lead and oversee the Infection Control Program at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY. This role is ideal for a confident nursing professional who values patient safety, regulatory excellence, and staff education.

About the Role:

As the Infection Control Preventionist, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will collaborate across departments, guide clinical teams, and help maintain the highest standards of infection prevention and resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the facility’s Infection Control Program

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection control policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

• Provide guidance and oversight related to resident care and infection prevention

• Educate, train, and orient staff across all shifts on infection control practices

• Monitor outcomes through audits, surveillance, and staff performance evaluations

• Collaborate with nursing leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and medical staff

• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with MDS and medical record standards

• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License (required)

• BSN preferred

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting

• Acute care experience strongly preferred

• Previous long-term care management experience required

• Infection Control Preventionist Certification (preferred, not required)

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to educate, mentor, and support staff effectively
