    Qualifications

    • Appropriate coaching certification as regulated by the IHSA --OR-- Illinois Professional Educator License
    • Strong knowledge of the sport and an ability to teach and develop the skills of our student-athletes
    • Ability to build relationships and serve as a positive role model for students
    • Effective communication skills with students and adults
    • Willingness and ability to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends
    • Willing to travel with the team to different locations for practices/games, as needed

    Compensation

    • This is a Differential position.  The differential pay scale can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, which is available on our website.  Coaches with 5+ years of experience are compensated at a higher rate than those with more limited experience.  Employment as a coach is on an at-will basis.

    Important Notes

    • The season for this sport typically runs from mid-August through November.  The exact dates are determined based on IHSA rules and the schedule for State events.  More detailed questions regarding the schedule can be directed to the Athletic Director at the school.
    • This position will possibly have Coordinator responsibilities, depending on qualifications.
