Greenfield is looking for a Finance, Business System Analyst to join our growing team.
Position Overview
As a Finance Business System Analyst, you will report to the IT Business System Analysis Manager and act as the link between Finance and IT at Greenfield Global. You will develop a deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes, lead requirements gathering and current-/future-state process mapping, and translate business needs into clear, actionable solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Working closely with Finance stakeholders and operational finance leads, you will drive process improvement, system optimization, and the delivery of IT initiatives that support Greenfield’s financial operations. You will also partner with Finance to deliver AI and machine learning solutions that improve financial analysis, automate routine processes, and strengthen data-driven decision-making.

Your Experience Should Include
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in core Microsoft Dynamics ERP (Dynamics 365 F&O/SCM or Dynamics AX 2012) Finance and accounting modules – Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, General ledger (i.e.: foreign exchange rates), Fixed assets, Cost Management / Inventory Management for Cost Accounting (including standard costing), Cash & bank management, Budgeting, Expense management, Project Accounting and Financial Reporting
- D365, Dynamics AX Finance implementation experience.
- Experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly in roles involving financial systems.
- Experience working with global teams and understanding international financial regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: PMP, or MB-310: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant.
- Technical Skills: Experience with system integration, data management, and financial reporting tools.
- Bilingual: (English/French) considered an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
Process Mapping & Business Analysis
- Lead and facilitate current-state and future-state business process mapping sessions with Finance stakeholders, producing clear, accurate process flow diagrams and swim lane documentation that reflect end-to-end financial workflows (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Close processes).
- Conduct gap analysis between current business processes and desired future-state outcomes, identifying system, process, and people gaps and recommending solutions.
- Apply structured business analysis methodologies to decompose complex finance processes into clearly defined process steps, decision points, system touchpoints, and pain points.
- Maintain and continuously update a library of documented business process flows for all Finance modules supported, ensuring documentation remains current and audit ready.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Plan and facilitate structured requirements elicitation sessions with Finance SMEs and business stakeholders, utilizing a variety of techniques including workshops, interviews, observations, and surveys.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate both functional and non-functional business requirements, ensuring they are complete, unambiguous, testable, and traceable back to business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria that serve as the definitive source of truth for development and configuration teams.
- Conduct requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all requirements are addressed through design, build, testing, and deployment.
- Perform impact assessments on change requests and new requirements, clearly communicating scope, effort, and risk implications to project stakeholders and leadership.
- Facilitate prioritization sessions with Finance leadership to rank and align requirements against business value, effort, and strategic priorities.
Finance Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Finance stakeholders at all levels, from transactional finance teams to senior Finance leadership (Controllers, CFO), acting as a credible and reliable IT partner.
- Proactively engage Finance stakeholders to understand evolving business needs, upcoming process changes, and system pain points, translating these into actionable IT initiatives.
- Facilitate regular touchpoints and working sessions with Finance business partners to review project progress, validate solution designs, resolve open issues, and maintain alignment between IT delivery and business expectations.
- Communicate technical concepts and system capabilities in clear, business-friendly language, ensuring Finance stakeholders fully understand proposed solutions, trade-offs, and impacts before decisions are made.
System Analysis & Solution Design
- Analyze and evaluate existing business financial processes and D365 F&O system configurations to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and development teams to translate business requirements into D365 F&O system design, configuration specifications, and technical requirements.
- Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with Greenfield’s financial controls, regulatory requirements (IFRS/GAAP, SOX where applicable), and IT architecture standards.
- Use data analysis tools to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and support Finance decision-making.
UAT & Quality Assurance
- Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Finance SMEs, including the development of UAT test plans, test scripts, and test cases aligned to business requirements.
- Facilitate UAT execution sessions, track and manage defects, and ensure all critical issues are resolved prior to go-live sign-off.
- Obtain formal business sign-off from Finance stakeholders on UAT completion and solution readiness.
Implementation & Change Management
- Support end-to-end implementation and integration of new financial systems, D365 F&O upgrades, and process enhancements, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Collaborating with Change Management and Training leads to developing and delivering training materials, user guides, and knowledge transfer sessions for Finance end users and SMEs.
- Provide post-go-live hyper care support, monitoring system adoption, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring Finance stakeholders are confident and self-sufficient in new processes and systems.
Documentation & Reporting
- Create and maintain comprehensive BRDs, process maps, functional specifications, test plans, and training materials as core project deliverables.
- Produce clear status reports, issue logs, and decision registers to keep stakeholders and project leadership informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain documentation in designated repositories e.g., Azure DevOps, SharePoint.
AI, Machine Learning & Continuous Improvement
- Bridge identified Finance business needs with the development and implementation of AI and machine learning solutions to enhance data analysis, financial forecasting, and decision-making.
- Stay current with advancements in AI, machine learning, and financial technology, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve financial systems and processes.
Must be willing to travel to meet business objectives, up to 15%.
Total Compensation & Care:
- Base salary dependent on experience and demonstrated performance – $110,000 - $120,000
