Substitute Custodian/Maintenance Workers

Reports to:

District Coordinator of Facilities

Description: 

The district is seeking substitute custodians/maintenance workers to step in on a temporary, as-needed basis. This position is paid hourly.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and custodial duties as required
• Clean all areas of school buildings according to district standards, including floors, windows, furniture, and restrooms
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment within and outside school buildings
• Deliver supplies and materials to appropriate areas of the building
• Complete grounds keeping duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Valid NJ criminal history check required
• Negative tuberculosis test
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• School janitor/custodian experience preferred

Compensation:

• $24 per hour
