Description

At BRAINATION we view education as a transformative journey unique to each student. Our approach nurtures personal growth, fosters a sense of belonging, and cultivates joy in learning. Through our inquiry-based model and emphasis on self-reflection, we guide students to develop critical skills such as resilience, curiosity, and emotional intelligence. This journey is not about reaching a standardized endpoint, but about continuous growth and discovery, preparing students to navigate life's challenges and become lifelong learners who contribute positively to their communities.

Our campus, San Marcos Impact High School, is within a juvenile detention center located in San Marcos, Texas. Students often have interrupted schooling and benefit from structure, accountability, and goal-setting support. We foster a respectful environment that promotes responsibility, decision-making, and academic progress.

We are looking for a student-centered Teacher to lead in the spirit of our mission to increase the capacity for learning by inspiring every student to belong, find joy, and be great. Our learning environment engages students in constructing understanding through asking questions, exploring, researching, and reflecting. We focus on strong academics, teach tolerance, value diversity, support justice, and strive daily to fulfill our mission.
