Day-To-Day

  • Manages effective client services in compliance with VOA-TX program requirements and funding provisions.
  • Trains new counseling staff on treatment program and policy (i.e. intake, orientation, treatment plan documentation of services provided).
  • Provides clinical guidance to counseling staff.
  • Reports client services weekly.
  • Conducts groups and individual counseling as described by the program.
  • Conducts and/or attends staffing to assess client progress.
  • Completes client psychosocial assessment and develops and/or revises individual client treatment plans.
  • Conducts weekly client progress assessment.
  • Coordinates implementation of family groups.
  • Alternates weekend after hours "on call" rotation coverage
  • Financial Management
  • Staff Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in criminal justice, counseling, or related field plus education requirements that follow the guidelines for clinical licensure as reflected under Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations OR six years of directly related experience plus LCDC. 
  • Therapeutic community environment preferred
  • Experience in the supervision of employees 
  • Current valid license as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) 
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver's License, clear MVR and ability to be insured.
