Job Description
MedReview is looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer who thrives in owning and optimizing infrastructure across both on-prem and cloud environments. This role is critical to maintaining the performance security, and scalability of our core systems. 
If you're someone who enjoys building environments from the ground up, solving complex infrastructure challenges, and working across cloud and enterprise systems, this role is for you. This position is on-site in NYC Monday - Thursday and remote on Fridays. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Manage and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on-prem and Azure environments 
  • Lead system upgrades, patching, and performance optimization initiatives
  • Design and support disaster recovery and high availability environments 
  • Own VMware environments (vSphere/vCenter) and virtualization strategy 
  • Administer and optimize Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and identity systems
  • Support storage environments (SAN/NAS) and troubleshoot performance issues 
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure system reliability, security, and scalability 
Must-Have Experience (Non-Negotiables):
  • 5+ years of hands-on Systems Engineering experience 
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (architecture, Entra ID, Intune, networking) 
  • Deep experience with VMware (vSphere/vCenter) 
  • Strong background in Active Directory & Windows Server environments 
  • Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and infrastructure troubleshooting 
  • Proficiency with PowerShell or Azure CLI
Nice to Have: 
  • Experience with Cisco UCS or similar compute environments 
  • Exposure to security tools like CrowdStrike, Zscaler, or Mimecast 
  • Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Netwrix, etc) 
  • Healthcare or HIPPA-compliant environment experience 
  • VOIP and backup/storage solutions
