Project Description
The Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) G-6 Information Technology Support Services project is a comprehensive non-personal services contract designed to provide IT services and Digital Trainer support for CASCOM and its subordinate organizations at Fort Lee, Virginia.
Mission and Scope
The CASCOM G-6 mission is to provide IT support to CASCOM and its subordinate organizations, including the Army Sustainment University (ASU), and the Ordnance (OD), Quartermaster (QM), and Transportation Corps (TC) schools. The G-6 provides comprehensive computer and IT support for Department of the Army (DA) civilians, contractors, and permanent party military personnel. This includes support for Non-secured Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), Digital Trainers, Logistic Information Systems (LIS), Mission Command system training support, conventional classrooms, Classroom XXI, faculty/staff, and web product support.
Position Overview: Provides video teleconference (VTC) system operations and facilitation support for TRADOC classrooms, ensuring seamless communication capabilities for training and operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study, OR eight (8) or more years related experience
- Minimum of eight (8) years of client support in a Microsoft Windows-based environment
- Eight (8) or more years in deploying systems in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Three (3) or more years of specialized experience working in the Microsoft Windows environment supporting Windows Server 2019, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Forefront TMG, SharePoint, SQL Server 2019 or current releases
- Knowledge of IT concepts, principles and methods
- Knowledgeable in software tools and processes to load software images and manage supported computers
- Knowledge of PC architecture, hardware and software capability and configurations
- Ability to operate all video teleconference systems and knowledge of facilitation operations
- Knowledge of crypto keying functions of equipment for secure video teleconferences
- Secret security clearance and CAC eligibility required
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily operations of all video teleconference systems and facility operations
- Provide users with desk-side instructions on the use of VTC equipment
- Operate VTC systems for secure and non-secure video conferences
- Manage crypto keying functions for secure communications
- Troubleshoot VTC equipment and connectivity issues
- Coordinate and schedule VTC events with users
- Maintain VTC equipment and ensure operational readiness
- Document VTC operations and maintain usage logs
