Position Summary
The Clinical Coordinator for Nursing provides site development and coordination of all student clinical placements with facility partners for the pre-licensure BSN and MSN-MAGELIN programs. This individual serves as a vital liaison among the University, clinical facilities, and students, ensuring that all contractual and health requirements are met. Additionally, this role supports the department by serving as a faculty adjunct during high-demand periods.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Coordination & Site Development

Placement Management: Provide support to administration and faculty in clinical placement planning and assignment management for designated programs.

Liaison Duties: Serve as the primary liaison between clinical facilities, adjunct instructors, University faculty, and students regarding placement requirements and contractual obligations.

Liaison Representation: Represent the Department of Nursing for the Centralized Clinical Placement System (CCPS).

Contract Procurement: Procure and secure renewals for clinical contracts with facility partners across all nursing programs.

Faculty Support: Assist the Assistant Dean/Program Administrator in the acquisition, orientation, and evaluation of adjunct clinical faculty.

Compliance Tracking: Develop and maintain health requirement databases for students and adjunct faculty to ensure full compliance with facility standards.
Dynamic Process Improvement & Innovation

Workflow Optimization: Explore new opportunities to enhance departmental services and proactively welcome different work requirements to contribute to the team effort.

Data & Software Leadership: Propose and implement new ideas or software solutions to streamline the management of clinical student and program data, ensuring efficient recordkeeping.

Outcome Measurement: Assist the Program Administrator in maintaining databases required for accreditation, specifically to measure clinical outcomes and departmental effectiveness.

Change Management: Think creatively and critically to solve problems while working as a member of an interprofessional team in an environment of change.
Adjunct Faculty Performance (High-Demand Support)
When serving in a faculty adjunct capacity, the Clinical Coordinator will:

Instructional Excellence: Select, plan, and implement learning experiences that assist students in meeting course and program outcomes in clinical, lab, or classroom settings.

Student Evaluation: Evaluate students based on course outcomes, identify strengths, and facilitate strategies for improvement and mastery.
