The Chisago Lakes School District is located approximately 35 miles NE of downtown Minneapolis/Saint Paul. The District unites five historical communities with a tradition of excellence. Each community offers both a unique history and a contemporary charm of its own. The 165 square-mile district encompasses 24 lakes and the scenic St. Croix River Valley which creates many outdoor recreational opportunities for any outdoor enthusiast.  The District serves approximately 3400 students (PreK-12) and their families.  Our Primary School, located in Chisago City, serves our Pre K to grade 1 students. Taylors Falls Elementary School, located in Taylors Falls, serves grades PreK-5 and our Lakeside Elementary School, located in Chisago City, serves grades 2-5. Description:

Provide instruction to pre-K through advanced level participants and maintain communications with parents, participants, instructors and supervisor.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide instruction and/or coaching to a variety of ages from toddlers to high school students. Ensure environment and equipment is safe and maintained. Respond effectively to emergency situations. Report any equipment, injury or safety issues to supervisor immediately. Maintain effective communications with students, parents/guardians, coworkers, and community members. Communicate regularly with supervisor. Be a positive role model for respectful behavior and problem solving strategies and adhere to district procedures and policies. Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities): Proven leadership with both youth and adults. Proven knowledge of basic gymnastics skills and techniques and ability to demonstrate. Ability to be trained to effectively teach skills and techniques to a variety of age groups and ability levels. Effective communication skills and ability to work with various age groups. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently and resolve disputes and problems effectively and efficiently. Ability to understand and follow data privacy rules and regulations. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prompt, regular and reliable attendance. Ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends. Communicates with students, parents, coworkers, supervisors and community members in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
