Job Overview
As a Bartender at Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, you will provide exceptional service to our guests by crafting delicious drinks and ensuring a positive, fun, and welcoming experience. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the energetic and lively atmosphere of the restaurant. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix and Serve Drinks: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards. Handle drink orders efficiently, ensuring consistency and quality in every beverage.
- Guest Interaction: Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to guests. Make recommendations based on customer preferences and ensure satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Maintain Bar Area: Ensure the bar area is clean, stocked, and organized. Sanitize glasses, utensils, and equipment regularly.
- Process Orders and Payments: Accurately process customer orders using the POS system. Handle cash, credit cards, and receipts while ensuring proper change is provided.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and optimal guest service.
- Monitor Alcohol Consumption: Observe guests’ alcohol consumption to prevent over-serving. Follow all local laws and company policies regarding alcohol service.
- Upsell and Promote Specials: Encourage guests to try new drinks, appetizers, or featured menu items. Promote seasonal or promotional offerings.
- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels and restocking supplies. Notify management of low inventory levels.
- Compliance and Safety: Follow all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines. Ensure the bar area complies with health and safety regulations.
- Problem Resolution: Address guest concerns and resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and smooth operations.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous bartending experience is preferred, but not required. Experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of drink recipes, cocktail preparation, and bar equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer Service: Passion for providing exceptional guest service with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Certifications: TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or similar alcohol service certifications preferred, but not required.
