CLASSROOM TEACHER / GIRLS COACH

2026-2027 School Year

JHS, grades 6-8

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE

 

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

-         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

-         Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements, Generalist 4-8, Core Subjects 4-8

-         Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned

-         General knowledge of curriculum and instruction

-         CDL School Bus Driver's License, or ability to obtain this summer

-         Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

-         Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

 

The position is for a dual assignment contract.  Duties will include coaching volleyball, basketball and track at the JHS level.  Please clearly state all the core areas and grade levels in which you are certified to teach.
