Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Principal
Department: Custer Baker Intermediate School
Assignment: Administrative Position
Supervised by: Principal
Purpose: Provide leadership and support to the educational process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervise curriculum development
2. Assist in the planning and developing of professional learning communities
3. Coordinate and monitor teacher's evaluation schedule and protocol
4. Coordinate state testing
5. Prepare standardized testing data collection and reporting
6. Coordinating student events (Walkathon, Ceraland, etc.)
7. Represent FCMS in district-related curriculum and planning
8. Co-Chair School Improvement Committee
9. Serve as Public Agency Representative for case conferences
10. Assist the principal with concerns and issues involving parents, students, and faculty.
11. Coordinate New Teacher Orientation
12. Responsible for hiring and evaluating classified staff
13. Coordinate professional development
14. Supervise student activities (Athletic Events, Concerts, Dances, etc.)
15. Supervise guest teacher procedures and protocols
16. Grade level student discipline
17. Building supervision

Minimum Job Requirements:
• Must have an Indiana principal's license
• Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Successful classroom teaching experience

• Conflict resolution and /or mediation skills
