About the Role:

This is a supervisory, analytical and multi-tasking role that requires the team member to be able to review daily workflow, analyze and process bank loans and P&L, and to effectively communicate to clients and counterparties.  This role requires the team member to have an in-depth understanding of the syndicated loan market and other credit types, as well as understand the different trading strategies across their client’s portfolios.   

 
Job Duties in Brief:

  • Review credit agreements in full detail and create respective term sheets to outline key economics
  • Review all transaction documentation, and legal documentation/supporting files, as well as understanding the investment transactions (accruals, pnl, accretion, etc.)
  • Review amendment and restructuring agreements in full detail
  • Prepare amortization schedule for each deal / maintenance ( Straight-line and effective yield)
  • Oversee contract rollovers, principal pay downs, borrowings, and trade settlements/funding’s
  • Interact closely with internal and external teams to ensure timely deliverables
  • Prepare monthly loan packages that consist of Core Reporting: Holdings, Loan Roll Forward, Accrued Interest and Net Income
  • Create white label client notices for interest payments, pay downs, rate-sets, borrowings, etc.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly loan packages (Loan Roll Forward, Holdings Report, Accrued Interest, etc.)
  • Research and analyze P&L/accrual breaks, as well as pricing and trading discrepancies
  • Analyze reconciliations from Middle Office team – Loan activity, security maintenance, cash, borrowings, positions, interest rates, index rates, loan attributes
  • Basic understanding of Journal entries  - Debits and Credits
  • Identify and investigate interest, position and cash breaks after middle office team processes
  • Interact effectively with team members, Cash Operations, Accounting, Valuations and P&L, trade processing, and other supporting department(s) to resolve issues pertaining to loans
  • Contribute to implementation of procedural enhancements to improve all workflow processes
  • Ensure all issues addressed to the group are addressed and resolved timely
  • Work with external auditors on loan related questions and support
  • Actively engage in and manage special analytical projects for senior management
  • Monitor Checklists for clients to ensure deadlines are met
  • Handle Ad-Hoc requests from client as needed


About You:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and 3-5 years of related loan experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Primary & Secondary Syndicated Bank Loans (Par & Distressed) as well as Total Return Swaps and Financing Facilities.
  • Wall Street Office or similar loan management system preferable.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
