rockITdata is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Integrated Master Scheduler (IMS) to join our team supporting a mission-critical Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) program. This position plays a pivotal role in developing, managing, and maintaining the program’s master schedule, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for complex, multi-year VA programs using MS Project or equivalent tools.
  • Coordinate inputs from multiple project managers, functional leads, and external partners to ensure accurate schedule alignment and dependency tracking.
  • Identify and resolve schedule conflicts, resource constraints, and critical path risks.
  • Conduct regular schedule status reviews with VA stakeholders and internal delivery teams.
  • Support integrated project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and reporting to ensure schedule adherence and performance tracking.
  • Generate and present schedule status reports, dashboards, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Incorporate Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods into scheduling as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with VA PMAS, TMS, and other federal delivery frameworks.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience as a scheduler or project controls analyst on federal programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles (PMBOK, EVM, critical path method).
  • Ability to work onsite in Rosslyn, VA, 4–5 days a week.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
     
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP or PMI-SP certification.
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.
  • Familiarity with VA-specific tools such as PMAS, Jira, or ServiceNow.
  • Prior experience working with system integrators or federal health contractor
