Role Title: Insurance Capability Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Role Purpose
The Insurance Capability SME is a senior domain authority responsible for shaping insurance-led solutions, proposals, and market positioning. The role bridges insurance business knowledge and strategic consulting, enabling differentiated offerings, strong GTM narratives, and credible engagement with insurers.
Core Responsibilities
- Proposal & Pre-Sales Enablement
- Own insurance domain inputs for RFIs, RFPs, and proposals
- Define business scope, assumptions, risks, and value propositions
- Support client presentations, solution walkthroughs, and clarifications
- Solution Design & Domain Advisory
- Act as domain advisor to architects and delivery teams
- Translate insurer requirements into process, functional, and capability models
- Validate solution designs across PAS, Claims, Billing, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Digital & APIs
- Capability Planning & Client Positioning
- Define and maintain insurance capability maps and maturity models
- Identify transformation opportunities and differentiation themes
- Present capabilities, roadmaps, and solution visions to insurer leadership and Internal Teams
- Market Intelligence & GTM Support
- Provide insurance market analysis, trends, and competitor insights
- Support Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies and industry PoVs
- Contribute to thought leadership, whitepapers, and executive decks
- Insurance Ecosystem & Systems Expertise
- Maintain strong understanding of:
- Insurers, reinsurers, brokers, TPAs, regulators, and partners
- End-to-end insurance lifecycle (Policy → Claims → Billing → Benefits)
- Core insurance platforms, integration ecosystems, data & analytics
- Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC

Experience Profile
- 12–18+ years in insurance domain roles (insurer, SI, consulting, product)
- Proven experience in pre-sales, solutioning, or transformation programs
- MBA or insurance certifications (ACII, FLMI, LOMA) preferred
