As a Wealth Planning Associate, you will play an integral role in supporting Financial Advisors while delivering a high-quality, relationship-driven client experience. This role is centered on financial planning and provides hands-on exposure to wealth management, data analysis, and the development of comprehensive client strategies.

You will be part of the Apollo Group at Janney Montgomery Scott—a collaborative and growing team of 11 professionals known for its personalized approach to financial planning and strong, team-oriented culture. Associates are viewed as key contributors, with opportunities to build meaningful relationships, gain exposure to the full client lifecycle, and grow within a mentorship-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Financial Advisors in the development and maintenance of client relationships, with a strong focus on financial planning
  • Gather, organize, and analyze client data to assist in the preparation of financial plans and planning reports
  • Work closely with Advisors to understand client objectives, financial situations, and risk tolerance
  • Assist in preparing for client meetings and may participate in meetings in a support capacity
  • Keep Advisors informed of all pertinent client information, account activity, and transactions
  • Prepare client correspondence and assist with account-related requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support the execution of productivity initiatives and marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with internal departments and branch associates to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Maintain a strong understanding of financial products, planning tools, and firm technology
  • Ensure adherence to firm policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness and organization of the team

 

What you have

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Industry licenses (Series 7, 63, and 65/66) or willingness to obtain
  • Progress toward or completion of CFP®, ChFC, or AWMA designations
  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated interest in financial planning and wealth management
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of client service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial planning software
  • High ethical standards

The compensation package for this position consists of a base salary, (with eligibility for an annual bonus/commissions if applicable) as well as eligibility to participate in all company benefits offered by Janney to full-time employees including health, dental, medical coverage, disability income protection, life insurance, PTO/vacation, holidays, and 401(k).  The salary range for this position will be $65,000 to $75,000.  Total compensation packages at Janney are based on experience, skills, credentials, and geographical location, of each specific candidate.
