Position Summary

The Excavator Operator will play a critical role in pool construction projects, handling excavation, grading, trenching, and transporting materials and equipment. This position requires a skilled operator with at least 5 years of experience and the ability to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment for pool excavation, grading, and backfilling.
• Safely transport materials, machinery, and equipment using a CDL-A vehicle.
• Read and interpret construction plans, site layouts, and project specifications.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Ensure job sites meet safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and crew members to complete projects on time.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction equipment operating experience, preferably in pool construction.
• Valid CDL-A driver’s license required.
• Strong knowledge of excavation practices, grading, trenching, and site prep.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and high-quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75+ lbs as needed.
• Comfortable operating heavy machinery for extended periods.
• Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments.
