Job Description

JBW FEDITC II JV LLC is an SBA-certified 8(a) NHO Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture between JBW Federal and FEDITC, LLC. Our team develops and manages mission critical national security systems and networks throughout the world and provides comprehensive Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support and Subject Matter Expertise for a vast array of military programs. Overview of position:



Seeking an Energy Assurance Engineer, Journeyman that Supports technical evaluation and documentation of resilient and clean energy projects for Department of the Air Force (DAF) installations. Contributes to the development of project justification materials, acquisition documentation, and system modeling to support energy assurance goals. Works with installation personnel and project stakeholders to gather data and assess the technical and economic feasibility of distributed energy resources (DER), storage systems, and advanced energy control technologies. Conducts research on utility structures, incentive programs, and regulatory frameworks to inform project planning and implementation.



A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.



Responsibilities




  • Conduct technical reviews of Installation Energy Plans (IEPs), Resilience Solution Reports (RsRs), and power purchase agreements (PPAs), assessing resilience effectiveness across all review stages (25%, 50%, 90%). 

  • Assist in evaluating the feasibility of energy assurance solutions involving photovoltaics, battery energy storage, and other DER technologies. 

  • Support the development of life-cycle cost analyses using tools such as BLCC.

  • Contribute to the preparation of interconnection strategies, project justifications, and acquisition documentation.

  • Analyze local utility tariffs, rate structures, and applicable rebate or incentive programs.

  • Conduct engineering and economic assessments of proposed solutions to support AF OEA project selection and prioritization.

  • ​​​​​​​Support stakeholder coordination and gather technical input from installation energy managers and CE personnel.

  • ​​​​​​​Contribute to the preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and presentation materials.

  • ​​​​​​​Assist in tracking emerging technologies and evaluating their applicability to DAF energy resilience goals.
