We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as Deliveries Clerk. This position reports to the Profit Centre Manager aiding to ensure efficient logistics operations and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Invoice Processing: Ensure the accurate and timely handling of all customer invoices.
  • Stock Handling: Receive and deliver stock efficiently maintaining inventory flow.
  • Customer Service: Effectively communicate with customers on delivery status, address inquiries, and resolve any delivery-related issues.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records, including invoices and delivery receipts.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols when handling goods and operating equipment.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and warehouse staff, to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Stock Coordination: Liaise with Profit Centre Managers to ensure adequate stock is available to meet customer demands.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to Profit Centre Managers on inventory levels and delivery schedules.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related designation.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience at a supervisory level in the Building Supplies business or similar environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Good oral and written communication, supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Customer oriented and computer literate.
  • Good working knowledge of the building supplies business.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and apply those in the execution of duties.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all customers.
  • Execution and results focused, with emphasis on on-time delivery.
  • Self-motivated and knows when to seek guidance
