The Speech-Language Pathologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for clients with communication, language, articulation, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders. The SLP develops individualized treatment plans, delivers direct therapy services, supervises SLPAs, and maintains compliant clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations using standardized and non-standardized assessment tools appropriate to the client's age and presenting concerns
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable, functional goals in collaboration with the client, family, and interdisciplinary team
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with the treatment plan, authorized hours, and SoonerCare or insurance coverage
- Supervise SLPAs per Oklahoma Board of Examiners supervision requirements including monthly direct observation and regular indirect supervision
- Complete all clinical documentation in the Rethink EMR — evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries — within required timelines
- Ensure documentation is objective, measurable, and consistent with services billed
- Collaborate with BCBA and OT team members, school personnel, and families as part of the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based service delivery as applicable
- Obtain and coordinate authorization renewals for assigned caseload with the Authorization Coordinator
- Maintain Oklahoma SLP licensure through required continuing education
- Comply with the ASHA Code of Ethics at all times
