Salary - Min: $ 85,160.57 Max: $ 142,800.00 Definition of Position: Epic Analyst will possess strong technical proficiency and advanced skills to support, design, configure, and maintain Epic applications. This role involves a variety of duties, including but not limited to analysis, design, build, testing, documentation, training, implementation, reporting, and user support. The Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that Epic applications meet clinical and operational needs, performing system testing, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless integration with other systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working within Epic's suite of applications and a solid understanding of clinical workflows, as well as the ability to independently manage smaller to medium-sized projects. The Epic Analyst should demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with users at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Collaborate with clinical leadership, staff, and IT teams to design and configure Epic workflows tailored to specific clinical departments, such as Nursing, Radiology, Pharmacy, and others. Engage in ongoing analysis of operational workflows to ensure system functionality aligns with clinical needs and supports accurate data collection. Provide in-depth support for Epic applications, including EpicCare Inpatient, ASAP, OpTime, Radiant, MyChart, Stork, Cadence, and other Epic modules, ensuring systems are fully optimized. Independently handle the creation of specifications, analysis of existing system logic, and the revision of configurations based on evolving needs. Manage and coordinate the delivery of small to medium-sized projects across multiple Epic modules, ensuring timely execution and adherence to project goals. Participate in system testing, ensuring all configurations are thoroughly validated before being moved into production. Offer training and support for end-users, super-users, and core teams, ensuring users understand and maximize the functionality of the Epic applications. Serve as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving user issues, demonstrating problem-solving skills and technical expertise in Epic applications. Participate in on-call rotations, providing after-hours support as needed. Collaborate with vendors and external partners as necessary to implement and maintain third-party applications integrated with Epic. Document system changes and updates, maintaining accurate and detailed records for future reference. Qualifications Qualifications: Education Required: Associate degree minimum in a related field (Nursing, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, etc.) or may substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred: Bachelor degree or other advanced degree in healthcare or IT-related fields. Licenses/ certifications/ registrations Required: Epic certification in at least one Epic application (e.g., EpicCare Inpatient, ASAP, OpTime, etc.). Preferred: Additional Epic certifications or specialized training related to the candidate’s area of expertise. Experience Required: Minimum of three (3) years of direct Epic build experience as an Epic Analyst in a healthcare setting. Experience must include hands-on system build, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support within an Epic module. Preferred: Multiple Epic certifications Experience working in a Community Connect model (host or affiliate) Participation in at least one Epic implementation or major upgrade Experience supporting workflow changes and end-user adoption Other: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with clinical staff, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders. A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional walking, standing, bending, or lifting light office items (up to 25 pounds). Visual acuity to view computer screens and read detailed financial documents. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. May be required to move throughout the healthcare facility, including administrative and clinical areas. Working Conditions: This position operates in a professional office setting within a healthcare facility. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The office environment is climate-controlled, well-lit, and ergonomically designed for extended computer work. While this role is primarily office-based and does not involve direct patient care, the employee may occasionally be present in clinical areas or interact with staff working in clinical environments. As such, there is a potential for exposure to infectious diseases.
