Supply Chain Management Manager
Job Summary
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Manager is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including order processing, procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, and export control, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements. This role leads an SCM team and works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive cost efficiency, service excellence, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in alignment with business and regional SCM strategies.
Reporting Line
- Reports to: Finance Head / Regional SCM Process Owner (RPO)
- Manages: SCM team (Procurement, Order Handling, Logistics/Warehousing as applicable)
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Leadership & Governance
- Lead, manage, and develop the SCM team to achieve departmental objectives and service levels.
- Communicate SCM action plans and ensure alignment with functional, regional, and organizational strategies.
- Drive SCM governance, compliance discipline, and audit readiness across all SCM activities.
- Monitor team performance, allocate resources, coach staff, and contribute to performance appraisal and capability building.
2. Order Processing Management
- Oversee the full order processing lifecycle from order entry to delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Sales, Project, Engineering, Service, and Customers to optimize workflows and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, GMS, RMS, and customer requirements.
- Continuously improve order handling processes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
3. Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Develop and implement procurement and strategic sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage sourcing activities, supplier selection, negotiations, contract creation, and contract management.
- Analyze spend, cost drivers, and market dynamics to identify cost reduction and value creation opportunities.
- Deliver category plans, manage supplier performance, and ensure ethical and compliant procurement practices.
4. Supplier & Contract Management
- Build and maintain effective supplier partnerships to ensure continuity, quality, cost competitiveness, and risk mitigation.
- Manage supplier contracts and service providers in line with established contract management plans.
- Drive supplier evaluation, performance review, and corrective actions as required.
5. Logistics & Warehousing
- Oversee logistics, shipping, and warehousing operations (domestic and international) to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Optimize logistics strategies and workflows to reduce costs and improve service performance.
- Ensure full compliance with customs regulations and timely renewal of import/export registrations and permits.
- Prevent penalties, delays, or non-compliance in all logistics and customs clearance activities.
6. Export Control & Compliance
- Manage export control and trade compliance activities in accordance with domestic and international regulations.
- Ensure compliance with export control policies, conduct annual awareness training, and maintain documentation.
- Ensure zero major findings in internal and external audits related to SCM, procurement, logistics, and trade compliance.
7. Financial & Performance Management
- Manage SCM budgets and conduct cost, margin, and financial impact analysis related to supply chain decisions.
- Drive cost control initiatives and contribute to improving gross profit and working capital performance.
- Monitor SCM KPIs, analyze trends, and prepare management reports for decision-making.
8. Systems, Data & Continuous Improvement
- Utilize ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, ARIBA) to manage procurement, reporting, and analytics.
- Apply data-driven insights to guide sourcing decisions, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
- Lead or support SCM-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline.
- SCM or Procurement professional certifications (e.g. CPSM, CSCP) are an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in a multinational or project-based environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in order handling, procurement, logistics, and supplier management.
- Proven people management and leadership experience.
- Experience in ISO Quality / ISMS implementation and audit readiness.
- Familiarity with export control regulations and customs compliance.
