The Position
The Senior Construction Litigation Attorney will handle a manageable caseload involving construction-related litigation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both legal proficiency and strategic insight, while also being capable of independently managing cases through trial.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a caseload of construction litigation matters, from inception through resolution or trial.
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
- Collaborate with partners and team members on case strategy and complex legal issues.
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing timely updates, legal analysis, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and firm standards.
- Utilize legal research tools and case management systems effectively.
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of Florida
- 5+ years of defense litigation required
- Construction defect practice experience strongly preferred
- Experience in construction law or related practice areas preferred
- Drafting discovery and pretrial motions required
- 2nd chair trial experience a plus
- Superior analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
