Job Description

Commission Specialist

Job Purpose

Calculate, analyze, and process commissions. Accurate and timely performance of the assigned duties is required in this role as it impacts the effectiveness of the sales team's performance.

Essential Functions

·         Pulls monthly data

·         Calculates sales commission

·         Prepare detailed monthly commission reports

·         Works with management to develop sales commission goals in accordance with defined sales plans and creates methodology to calculate commission payments

·         Analyze performance and profitability of commission payments

·         Process monthly commission payments accurately and timely

·         Audit sales commission payments, researches discrepancies, and resolves issues

·         Perform ad hoc analysis as requested

 

Experience

·         5+ years of professional experience

·         Experience in analyzing monthly results and performing in-depth analysis

·         Experience in the preparation of monthly data

·         Experience working with management to set and achieve goals and assisting in the development and input of sales compensation plans

·         Experience in developing and presenting performance reports to management enabling them to leverage and maximize financial results

 

Education

·         Three or more years of University/College resulting in a bachelor's or master’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting

 

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·         Proficient in using computers to perform financial analysis and modeling

·         In-depth Excel spreadsheet knowledge required

·         Proficient in English

·         Understanding of commission plans

·         Detail and results-oriented

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Critical thinking, economic, and analytical skills

·         Billing system experience helpful

 

Work Environment

·         Work is typically performed remotely

·         Works independently with moderate supervision
